Family Literacy Night

We had a great time at the family literacy night! The 4K teachers led a session based on the story Room on the Broom. Of course, we had to get in character and dress up as witches!

We started off by making a special witch brew. Yum!

We munched on the witch brew while listening to the story.

You can see a video of the story by clicking below.

After reading the story, everyone had a choice of different stations to visit. Families could make a shape witch project at one station.

At another station, families could go on a scavenger hunt to find all the characters from the story. Then they could sequence the characters on the broom in the order they appeared in the story.

At a third station, families could make their own Room on the Broom booklet to take home and read.

The fourth station was mummy bowling.

The fifth station was a spider web toss game.

We had a great time! Thank you to all the families that came. We hope you enjoyed yourself!
