During circle time, we read the story Duck! Rabbit! together. In the story, there is a disagreement over whether it is a duck or rabbit. The children discovered that depending on how one looks at the picture, it could be either a duck or rabbit. The children enjoyed participating in this silly story as they tried to figure out who was right - was it a duck or a rabbit?
The children also enjoyed playing a "What's Missing? Easter Bunny" game to develop vocabulary and visual memory skills. They love playing "What's Missing?" games!
We made our own "Duck! Rabbit!" stick puppets today. This required us to use our fine motor skills for cutting, gluing, and coloring, as well as following directions within a large group.
Then we read the story Duck! Rabbit! again using our stick puppets. They are excited to bring their puppets home and try to "trick" family members about whether it is a duck or rabbit.
During playtime, the children enjoyed playing in a variety of areas.
Of course we had to do the egg shaker song after break. It is everyone's new favorite song (as well as the Humpty Dumpty song).
We also made bunny ear headbands together to be used to act out a story tomorrow.
