Happy Monday, 4K Families!
Today the children listened to the story This Little Pony. This was a silly story about a pony that always said "Boo!" His friends did not like it when he said this because it scared them. One day a fox came near the farm and he wanted to eat the chickens. The little pony yelled "Boo" and he scared the fox away. All his friends were so happy that the pony helped save the chickens.
They also listened to the song "Color Farm." This song is very similar to the "B-I-N-G-O" song. This song sang about the different colored farm animals and spelled out the color words.

During large group, each child made their own stick horse. They laced together a horse’s head and then added a mane to the horse. This helped develop our fine motor skills. Finally, each child added details and had a paper towel roll attached to the bottom of the horse’s head. We used these stick horses at the end of the day!

Playtime Fun!
Today we also listened to the story Driving My Tractor. Click below to listen to it at home!
After snack, the children took their stick horses to the gym. We practiced galloping in the gym for a little while. The rest of the time in the gym was free time as a reward for earning their 5 class beak awards. The children had a blast!
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for a walk to the woods to visit the farm animals tomorrow! If it is raining, we will go on Wednesday instead.
Have a great evening!
