During circle time we listened to the stories Mrs. Wishy-Washy and Mrs. Wishy-Washy's Farm. They were silly stories! We love Mrs. Wishy-Washy!
Each child chose his/her favorite farm animal from the story and made a headband of that animal. We had some ducks, some cows, and some pigs.
Then we used the headbands to act out the story of Mrs. Wishy-Washy. There were a lot of giggles! It was fun!
You can also watch some clips of us acting out the story by clicking below!

During playtime, some children chose to fingerpaint muddy pigs. We used pudding as the mud! What fun! The children enjoyed tasting the "mud" after fingerpainting! Others enjoyed looking at their alphabet books more. Yet others chose to act out the story of Mrs. Wishy-Washy during playtime! We had a great day!
We even had a muddy snack today! The children enjoyed dipping their animal crackers in "mud" (pudding) to make the animals muddy before eating them!
At closing circle, we listened to the song "Five Clean, Squeaky Pigs."
Then we listened to a silly story titled Pigs in the Mud in the Middle of the Rud. There were a lot of rhymes in this story!
In the afternoon, we also did the counting jar.
Today we also played on the "big kid" playground. Next year when we are big kindergarten students, this is the playground we will get to play on. We spent some time playing on it so we can become familiar with the rules and boundaries for this playground in preparation for kindergarten next year.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable, long weekend and I look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday! Next week is an exciting week with our field trip on Thursday! :)
