We started out our day by reading the book Little Lamb. This is a story about a little lamb that was playing hide and seek with its friends. It asked many farm animals if they had a good idea for a hiding spot. The lamb kept walking farther and farther from his home. The lamb started to get scared and needed help finding his mom. A sheep dog came to lead him back to his mother!
We also sang "Baa, Baa Black Sheep," but we sang a silly version with all different colored sheep. We sang "Baa, Baa, (color) Sheep." The children thought it was very funny!
It was such a beautiful day! Both the morning and the afternoon classes ate their snack outside.
The afternoon children celebrated Trey's birthday. Thank you for the ice cream treat, Trey!
The morning children had some playtime. Some of the children made a lamb art project during playtime.
The children in the morning received another Spanish lesson from Elise's mom. The children learned about different ways that you can greet people in Spanish. They were given puppets to use when practicing the greetings!
At the end of the day, the afternoon children heard the story Inside a Barn in the Country. There was a lot of repetition in this story and the children even helped read along with the story.
Have a lovely evening!
