Today we read two gingerbread stories! We read The Gingerbread Girl and Gingerbread Friends. The children enjoyed reading the stories and comparing them to the other stories we've read.
We had three different centers that the children rotated to throughout the day. At the first center, the children got to roll out their gingerbread dough from yesterday and cut out a gingerbread girl or boy.
The children at the second center painted their Cc alphabet book page. They painted red stripes on their big C and little c, so they looked like candy canes. When they finished their alphabet book page, they used teamwork to put together gingerbread puzzles.
In the last center, the children went on a gingerbread letter hunt. They had to find hidden gingerbread letters around the room and color each gingerbread man letter as they found them.
Playtime Fun!!!
Today our elf friend, Jingle, was reading a gingerbread book. In the afternoon, he must have gotten sleepy and laid under the book. I wonder where he'll be tomorrow!
The children are very excited to frost and decorate their gingerbread cookies tomorrow! :)
Have a great evening!
