Grinch Day!

Happy Thursday! Today we were excited to arrive in our classroom to find that our elf left us a special book and movie!

Of course we had to read the story How the Grinch Stole Christmas! together. It was a great story!

We also shared a few more snowman family projects.

At the tables, we played Christmas tree bingo. We used m&m's as the markers for the ornaments on the tree. Of course, we had to eat them afterwards. Your child's bingo board is in his/her folder so you can also play at home to practice shapes and/or numbers.

Then we ate some special treats for snack! Thanks to everyone who sent in supplies for our special party! In the morning, we even made a Grinch snack out of grapes, bananas, strawberries, and mini marshmallows. Yum!

Afterwards we watched the recording of our holiday program. We were excited to see ourselves on the "big screen" and to hear how wonderful we sounded!

Then we watched the movie of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! so that we could see if it was the same as the story or different. We enjoyed watching it tremendously!

We also visited the second graders to see their beautiful gingerbread houses. We had a hard time deciding which house would be the best one for the Gingerbread Baby to live in!

Then it was time to go outside and play. Whew! What a fun day!

We did not do book check-out today, but will begin it again after our winter break.

Thank you everyone for your tremendous support! I hope you have a fantastic holiday break and I look forward to seeing all of you in the New Year!
